HOTothermia

Just did my second hyperthermia. Made it 2 hours this time. Barely.
This time Christian put cold clothes on my face over and over. In that heat they don't stay cold for long. Now sitting on the bed near the open window in my room, enjoying the feel of a nice summer day breeze against my hot, wet, sticky skin. When my IV drip is done I can shower off the sweat.
Next weeks goal is 2 1/2 hours. hahaha!
I made Christian no promises.
I was asked by some if I could provide a mailing address. yes I can.
Here you go!!!!

  1. Woohoo! Go Dani! Feel like you have more willpower than you ever imagined? If you can do 2 hours, you can do 2.5. What do you think about when you're going through it? Are you able to escape in your mind at all?

    1. At the beginning I can escape but once I get really hot and sweaty , and my body starts to get stiff it becomes harder. They said I can move from side to side, but with all the weight of the wet sheet and blanket on me , a bloodpressure cuff on one arm, etc...it feels too overwhelming. lol I think i just start to sort of panic. nothing major, but slight anxiety. lol I will get tougher.

  2. Stay cool. lol. You are such a trooper. I doubt very much I could make it near as long as you have. I would definitely do the anxiety thing. and I've noticed that a I've aged (boy have I) I've developed a bit of claustrophobia. Not major, but some. Love you girl. We are so very proud of you.
